CADview (Option CV)
With the aid of CADview 2D CAD drawings in DWG/DXF format can be imported in a CEDRUS slab model.
In order to assist the graphical input procedure of slabs floor plans can be used as background plans
as well as for the guided procedure of the CADextract module with which CEDRUS slab data is generated.
- It is possible to import extensive drawings and to edit them efficiently.
- Several steps such as selecting layers or clipping assist in reducing needless
data.
- By adjusting the scale and the point of origin the drawing can be adapted to
the coordinate system of CEDRUS.
- The imported drawings are managed by separate layers which can be switched on and
off individually. They can used for snapping during the input procedure of graphical
objects.
- CADview is regularly updated to the latest DXF/DWG standards of Autocad.

CADextract (Option CX)
Often it is quite extensive to create the slab model in CEDRUS from scratch.
To make it more easy CADextract can be used. It analyzes a drawing and generates
CEDRUS input data in few steps taking layers, line styles and fill styles into account.
The generation of CEDRUS structural elements is being done in few steps:
- Creating the outline by filtering significant drawing elements
and making optional adjustments by hand
- Selecting filled areas by layer, fill type, fill color, thichkness and
length for generating wall groups with same material and support conditions
- Similar procedure for grouping columns
- Generating CEDRUS structural members and making final adjustments by hand
in CEDRUS
